4 Ways to Appear Taller

I recently took a poll on Facebook asking women what were their biggest fashion and makeup concerns. As you can imaging there were lot of responses, but one of them stood out. It was from a friend of mine that happens to have the same height as me. I am 4'11" by the way, it was surprising to see that she had difficulty dressing her #petite self because she is always on point!  Which brings me to today's blog.  I am going to share 5 ways to appear taller and what looks great on our hot frame. 

1. Heels - Add height by wearing heels, the higher the better. Also, nude pointy pumps are great because it elongates the legs. 

2. Wide Leg & High waist pants -  Create the illusion of longer legs by incorporating a wide leg pant and/or high waist pants and even skirts. This is elongate your torso and legs at the same time.

3. One color outfit - Create height by dressing in one color, from head to toe. For example, all white or all black. 

4. Fitted clothes - Wearing the correct size and fitted clothes lines your silhouette creating the illusion of height. As to oppose to wearing oversize clothes which only makes you appear wide and short. 

Next time you are going through your closet, think about these tips and put together clothes that are going to create the illusion of height to your petite frame.
