Hello Beautiful!
Happy Sunday! I love Sunday's because I use this day to pamper myself. It's Jenny's time for a message at a spa or doing beauty facials, pedicure, scrubs and waxing.
I rarely go to a Salon to have these services done with a few exceptions. Why? I because I enjoy doing it on myself.
For today's blog I am going to share how I incorporate Coconut oil to my beauty regimen. I invite you to try these at home.
I love coconut period! So I try to incorporate it as much as I can into my life.
I use Kirland Signature Organic Coconut Oil - Click for product information.
Beauty regimens
- Body & face scrub: I love feeling soft from head to toe so this is on top of my list. Take a equal parts of coconut oil and sugar and add them to a bowl. Heat it up in the microwave and stir. You want to make sure the consistency is thick, if you need to add more sugar do so to build it up. Once the consistency is good you are ready to hit the shower and start scrubbing and proceed with your shower routine. I love this as it is gentle enough to use it on your face. I do the body scrub once a week, and the face scrub every other week.
- Hair mask: Another one of my favorites too! This is great because it conditions your hair and makes it very soft. It's also great for split ends, dry scalp and helps with hair growth. You want to do this about 30 minutes before you take a shower. Depending on your hair length you want to scoop a few tablespoons into a bowl and heat it up in the microwave. Before you apply the coconut oil, comb you hair then apply the coconut oil all over your hair and scalp, I like messaging the oil into my scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes then wash your hair like you normally would.
- Teeth whiting: I am sure many of you have heard of oil pulling which is when you swish coconut oil in your mouth and it gets rid of toxins in your body, whitens teeth and does wonders for you oral health and more. I like to do this every morning when I wake up before I eat anything. You will notice how your teeth begin to whiten after a few months.
- Cuticle softener: Since I do my own pedicure and manicure I like using coconut oil to soften my cuticles.
- Makeup remover: Love using coconut oil to remove my makeup because it leaves my skin so smooth after.
Hope this was helpful, thank you for reading.
